The
Parisian Courtyard Inn
located Uptown New Orleans on
Prytania St. in the Lower Garden
District. The
Parisian is a ten room
Hotel, a great B&B, a luxurious
Guest House and a romantic Inn. The
Parisian Courtyard Inn
is
a special place to host weddings,
parties, meetings and family
gatherings. The Exquisite
double parlors, the spiral staircase
and the three parios provide a grand
setting for all our guests to enjoy
the old New Orleans.
Jesse the innkeeper will guide
you to many sites within walking distance; the Garden District and the
Civil War, Odgen and World War II Museums as
well as Restaurants and shopping on Magazine
Street. Around the corner on St. Charles
Ave., the Mardi Gras Parade Route, you can hop
the Street Car for a rickety ride to Audubon
Park, Canal St., The French Quarter, Bourbon
St., The Aquarium of the Americas, The River
Walk, The New Orleans Convention Center and
Harrah's Casino.
The
Parisian Courtyard Inn
is one of the oldest buildings in
New Orleans. Built in 1846 by Rufus
Mcllhenny of the Tabasco family. The
monolithic columns frame the wrought
iron balcony to protect the stucco
facade and 12 foot walk thru
windows.
Enter the huge door to the great
hall with double parlors and a
sweeping six-foot circular staircase
to upstairs. Front and rear
brick and slate courtyards with
fountains provide a tranquil,
relaxing setting.
In 2005-2006 the home was
lovingly restored retaining the
historic charm while incorporating
all the modern amenities expected in
a fine hotel. New baths separate
HVAC in each room, hardwood floors,
carpet, TV/DVD and refrigerators.
